Tent FAQs

  • Each tent site should be flat, clear of obstacles, and larger than the tent area. Each tent side should have at least 3ft of clearance to ensure that the legs have enough room during the installation process. This keeps our team safe as well as protects your home, garden, vehicles, etc.

  • In addition to the tent installation area, we would ideally need a 2nd area large enough to lay down a tarp and unfold our 20×20’ tent top before placing it on the tent frame.

For sites that allow us to use stakes to secure our tents, we require you to call 811 before digging. This involves separate utility companies to visit your site and spray paint areas with lines/pipes underground. See more FAQs on different tent stabilization options if you don’t want us to call 811.

  • We give you several options for securing your frame tent.

    1. For grass sites: We use 23” stakes in each tent corner to secure the tent to the ground, as well as smaller stakes to secure tent walls to the ground. This method requires the customer to call 811 before digging. We might also use a 80-100 lb white sandbag in each corner to secure the frame during windy conditions.

    2. For concrete or a no-stakes method: We use 100-200lb sandbags on each corner to secure the tent, depending on wind conditions for the day. See sandbags in tent photos above. Our sandbags are white so as to match the tent and not distract from the aesthetic of the white tent.

  • If you already know where your utility lines run, then we can skip calling 811 and you can show us where our stakes can go on your property.

For calling 811, we recommend having them come out a month before your event so that your grass has time to grow afterward and the grown out paint can be mowed before your event. Take a photo of the paint lines and show it to us before your tent setup date.

  • We currently do not charge extra to use sandbags instead of stakes, as long as the tent site is close to our parked truck, and there are no hills, steps, obstacles, etc between the truck and the tent site.

If your tent site does not meet these eligibility requirements, then we would have to charge extra for use of our heavy duty sandbags. This option starts at $100.
